Arguably, the best thing about SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS’ new additions to their ranges – apart from the lustrous crystals themselves, of course – is the fact that they are released a whole year ahead of time. Thus we find ourselves perusing the latest additions for Spring/Summer 2013 right now, in 2012. What could be more convenient, whether one works in the fashion industry or just loves crystal?
The SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS color palette has been expanded with tones that take us back to that one reassuring constant in life: nature. New pinks suggest the heady fragrance of late-summer English roses – perfect for ethnic jewelry, dreamy vintage daywear, toned-down cocktail dresses and evening wear. It is complemented by a rich new Mediterranean sunset blue and a tranquil woodland green. A new finish, which perfectly mimics the look of genuine ivory, turquoise, jade, coral and lapis, brings vintage nostalgia to mind at the subtle end of the color spectrum, while the brighter shades give real zing to ethnic designs.
This new range is ablaze with beautiful little miracles of technology – here’s a small flavor to whet the appetite: that famous star performer, the ultra-brilliant XILION, has been refined to include a mirror made of real silver that brightens and warms colors. There are also four new Fancy Stones: an elegantly icy flower and a delicate butterfly that go by the name of Rivoli, together with a Shell shape and an Organic Oval that both give a nod to Art Deco.
